Migration Governance & Justice

Empowering migrants, refugees, and host communities to navigate migration systems, claim their rights, and participate in the decisions that shape their lives.

Programme Overview

This programme addresses the governance and justice dimensions of migration by placing migrants, refugees, and host communities at the center of advocacy, protection, and reform. Through legal empowerment, civic education, policy engagement, and accountability mechanisms, Social Seed Uganda supports individuals affected by migration to understand their rights, access justice, and actively engage institutions that govern their lives. We believe that just migration systems are built not by governments alone, but through the voices and leadership of the communities most affected.

Why This Programme Matters

Migrants and refugees are leaders, not just survivors. Host communities are partners, not bystanders. By treating migration governance as a development issue, not just a security one, Social Seed Uganda builds systems where every person, regardless of origin or status, can live with dignity, access justice, and shape their own future.
